I grew up in a small town nestled in the Alps, surrounded by mountains that felt as steady and unchanging as life itself. But my path took me far from those familiar peaks to the canals of Amsterdam, a city that’s now my home. After seven years in banking, I realized it was time for a change—time to let my love for coffee take center stage. That love started when I was just a kid, sipping decaf with way too much sugar at my Aunt Renata’s kitchen table. Back then, it was less about the taste and more about feeling grown-up. But everything changed when I met Jonas last year. He challenged me to leave milk behind and step into the world of rich, black coffee. It wasn’t long before we realized we shared a bigger dream: to create a roastery where passion, patience, and hard work could come together in every cup.

I was born in Ostrava, a coal-mining city in the Czech Republic, and my journey into coffee started with a summer job washing dishes at a café. What began as a way to earn extra cash quickly became a passion. I went from dishwasher to barista, then roaster, eventually leading two major projects—Coffee-Culture and COKAFE—as head roaster. But I craved more.

My path took me to Berlin with The Barn and later to Amsterdam with The Coffee Quest, where I finally fulfilled a longtime dream of working as a green coffee importer. Then I met Elisa. When I told her about my dream to start a business, she simply said, “Let’s do it. Why not?” She was right.

Now, here we are, turning that dream into reality together.
